Cae Iago is located in the midst of the beautiful Cambrian mountains in the heart of rural Wales.
Directions to Cae Iago 1. From North Wales Head for Chester and take the A483 South. Continue past Wrexham, Oswestry, Welshpool, Newtown, Llandrindod-Wells, Builth Wells, Llanwrtyd Wells, to Llandovery. At Llandovery, turn right on to the A40 towards Llandeilo. Follow this for about 8 miles, through the village of Pumpsaint, along the straight, over the bridge and up (another!) hill. Go through Ffarmers and we are the second farm on the left once you are out of the village, about half a mile from the Drovers Pub. 2. From the M25/M4 Join the M25, and follow it West to the M4. Follow the M4 all the way to Cross Hands (about 187 miles) via the Severn Bridge. Follow this for about 8 miles, through the village of Pumpsaint, along the straight, over the bridge and up (another!) hill. Go through Ffarmers and we are the second farm on the left once you are out of the village, about half a mile from the Drovers Pub.
If coming from the Birmingham direction use the M42 and M5 and M50 to join the A40 at Ross-on-Wye heading towards Monmouth. Both routes then follow the A40 through Monmouth, Abergavenny, Brecon, Sennybridge and Llandovery. NB. You have to be careful about 5 miles past Monmouth, to leave the dual carriageway to follow the A40 (sign-posted to Abergavenny). Approximately 4 miles past Llandovery (at a place called Llanwrda) take a right turn on to the A482 towards Lampeter. Follow this for about 8 miles, through the village of Pumpsaint, along the straight, over the bridge and up (another!) hill. At the top of the hill you will see a brown tourist sign, take a right turn towards Ffarmers. Go through Ffarmers and we are the second farm on the left once out of the village, about half a mile from the Drovers Pub. For those persons using sat navs for the journey ( especially coming from the North )please be aware that the Sat Nav directions have a tendency to direct you over mountainous routes as you get closer to Caeiago via some very small country lanes which some people find quite intimidating rather than the usual A roads. If you’re still not sure, please ask for custom directions.
