We have a wide range of forward going and well cared for Welsh cobs and horses to suit all abilities. However, as you will be riding four to five hours per day, we now ask everyone to have mastered the basic riding skills(walk,trot and a little canter) prior to arrival as we feel this will make their holiday all the more enjoyable and a lot less painful!
Fun and relaxation are the main aims. If you want to stay in bed until breakfast time and saunter out just in time for the ride at 10.30am, your horse will have been brought in, brushed and tacked up ready for you. You are also very welcome to get up a bit earlier and bring your horse in from the field and prepare him/her for the ride. You will be supervised at all times, so it is an excellent opportunity to gain confidence if you are new to it.
Our riding season runs from the end of January until the end of November. Unlike many other establishments our prices remain the same throughout the year.
We offer full week packages, midweek and weekend breaks as well as trail rides for the more experienced rider. Mid-week breaks are becoming increasingly popular and you can choose between 2,3,4 or 5 day breaks. As there are no designated start or finish times to our breaks you can adapt your holiday to suit yourself and price it accordingly. All packages consist of 4 - 5 hours of riding per day on safe forward going cobs over some superb Welsh countryside plus full board accommodation.
We are also happy to cater for any non riding partner/friend who may wish to come and explore the area,at a nightly rate.
If you prefer not to ride and would be more interested in mountain biking or walking , we can offer some great routes.
Aromatherapy/Swedish massage
After a long day in the saddle you may fancy a relaxing aromatherapy massage or a more invigorating Swedish massage to ease any aches and pains.We have a number of local holistic therapists who are happy to come to the centre to do treatments at a very reasonable price. These can either be booked in advance or during your stay.
After a day's riding there are plenty of interesting places to visit and things to do in the locality or if you fancy a leisurely walk we will be happy to give you directions.For those of you who just want to relax on site there is a pleasant garden to sit in, a comfortable lounge with sky television and a games room. We also have a little shop selling gifts and riding wear and there is wireless internet connection throughout the property.
Want to bring your pet?
We have three purpose built dog kennels for any clients who would like to bring their dogs on holiday with them.There is no extra charge for this service as it is DIY!!!!!!
You will find everything about your stay at Cae Iago informal and relaxed; except your safety.
